This Initial Deposit is Refunded in Credit Towards Your 5th Weekly Game.
We all meet up at your chosen Host’s Table (or via Google Meet) to quickly cover the basics of D&D 5E, set mutual expectations, answer any questions, and make sure that Fantasy Escapes Weekly is the right fit for your Group.
This Rate includes 2 Subsequent Worldbuilding Labor Hours.
Your Completed Characters introduce themselves to the Group. The Group discusses how these characters fit together to form a Party. The Group then decides what kind of adventures the Party wants to go on and what kind of world they want to explore. Based upon your ideas and input, Your Personal Dungeon Master will then begin hand-crafting your Customized Game, worldbuilding outward from your Party’s Chosen Starting Point!
4 Hour Sessions are Strongly Recommended to allow for proper level advancement.
We gather at your table and play! In general terms, Dungeons and Dragons sessions include a mixture of Exploration, Combat, Role-Playing, and Problem-Solving…but this is YOUR story so Fantasy Escapes Weekly will tailor the experience toward Group preferences as much as possible. Together, we’ll all tell the story of your Party and their legendary exploits!

2 Hour Sessions are the minimum booking available.
A shorter session sometimes works better for you or for the story. Whatever the reason, a half-ration of Dungeons and Dragons is better than none at all. This is also a great option for getting a taste of what's involved in a Weekly Game Session with a lower time & money investment.
You choose one of the 13 classes in Dungeons and Dragons 5E 2014, describe the character you have in mind, provide responses to the Necessary Questions, and then sit back to let us take it from there. Your Personal Dungeon Master will translate your ideas onto a character sheet so you’ll be ready to play at the table. Information gathered during this session will likewise shape some of the world and adventures that await your character in the Customized Game…the part where your character’s story takes center stage!
You come up with any kind of crazy character class concept you want…and Your Personal DM will build it into the game so you can play out your one-of-a-kind character’s story at the table.
Go for it. DIY. Ten minutes into it, you’re going to want to schedule a slot for one of the other options above.
Or perhaps not, and you actually go through the whole process of character creation flying solo…that's cool as long as your character sheet is completed, compliant with 5E rules, and fully compatible with 5E game mechanics. And, please note, we run Dungeons and Dragons 5E 2014, where you get TONS of different options...not 5E 2024, which is still in its infancy.
GRAND OPENING SPECIAL: The first group of players to book a Session Zero will each get a $25 discount on their Dungeons and Dragons Session Zero!

Fantasy Escapes Weekly is a small business operating in Denver, Colorado. We specialize in providing customized D&D games, delivered right to your chosen Host's Table, with a Pro DM included to run your game!
Our sole focus is on serving you and your group with the best ongoing weekly game sessions possible. Fantasy Escapes Weekly is deliberately structured to keep your Group's Personal DM dedicated to serving no more than 8 players total (this total includes the players in your group and those in other group(s) who also book weekly games). Rather than trying to be all things to all people and potentially getting spread thin, we specialize in running weekly games for a select FEW players and giving these FEW players 100% of our effort and attention.
We run 5E 2014 exclusively. Not 5E 2024, which is still in its infancy at the time of this publication. In the future, when more of the 2024 materials are available, we may expand to include their content...but that's not in the plans at present.
The D&D 5E 2014 game offers tons of player options that aren't currently available in the 2024 version, so we want our select FEW players to have the most varied options for their characters.
At least two and no more than six. But please bear in mind that Your Personal DM can only serve 8 players total and this can potentially limit group size further.
At this time, Fantasy Escapes Weekly does not provide Solo Player Games.
No, not at all! Your Initial Group Orientation will teach everyone the basics of the game and each subsequent session will include more training that will add to your D&D knowledge. All Game Play Training and Quick Reference Materials are included at no additional charge.
That's great! If everyone already knows how to play, we can bypass the Learn the Basics portion of the Initial Group Orientation and instead dedicate that time towards Your Personal DM learning more about the sort of game you want to play. If it's a mixed group with people of varying levels of experience that includes at least one rookie, just let us know and we'll restructure the Initial Group Orientation accordingly...ie so that veteran players don't have to sit through the Learn the Basics portion of the meeting if they'd prefer not to.
No, our focus is on delivering excellence in-person each week to your Host's Table. There are tons of other providers who run games online...if that's your preference, we encourage you to contact them instead.
No, our focus is solely on delivering unique games handcrafted specifically for your Group. This makes each session engaging and relevant to the characters you've created and the one-of-a-kind world we've built for them to adventure across. If you want to hire someone to run published modules, there are many other providers who offer this service.
No, none of the above. Our organization is structured towards catering to our select FEW weekly players exclusively. Offering any of these other services would interfere with our ability to give our FEW weekly players the best value for their money, so we have a strict policy in place to avoid any conflicts of interest.
The Initial Group Orientation is required so that your Group can meet Your Personal DM, learn about how Fantasy Escapes Weekly operates, gain a basic understanding of how to play D&D 5E, and ask any questions you may have.
A Session Zero is required so that Your Personal DM can build precisely the sort of world you want your characters to explore and pack it full of just the sorts of adventures you want to experience.
Our standard of performance is excellence, nothing less...so we don't "wing it" by jumping directly into a Weekly Game without first learning what kind of game you want.
This isn't a side hustle...delivering your weekly game is Your Personal DM's full-time job!
The $25/Hour rate covers the time spent running your game at your table.
The $25/Session rate is a Flat Labor Rate that covers the previous time invested by Your Personal DM in making your customized game session the best it can be. Any time you see $25/Session (or $100/Session, in the case of Custom Class Creation), bear in mind that this is a Flat Labor Rate for work done behind the scenes and that the dollar amount is a fixed sum so you don't have to worry about any unexpected price hikes, even if developing your content takes longer than an hour (or 4 hours, in the case of Custom Class Creation).
The Flat Labor Rate AKA Session Rate is actually THE BEST BOGO EVER!
Most of the work in creating a Customized Game happens behind the scenes…the few hours of a D&D Game that actually happen at the table always require MANY hours of DM prep work beforehand. Fantasy Escapes Weekly only charges each player a flat $25 fee for 1 hour of labor per week…but realistically, each Customized Game Session will require at least 8-12 hours of DM Labor to create. Think of it as a Buy-One, Get-Seven-to-Eleven-Free Sale.
No, you are under no obligation whatsoever to continue your weekly game. Our goal is to deliver the most fun you'll have all week. Once you experience a Fantasy Escapes Weekly Game firsthand, you'll want to keep booking weekly sessions. And, if you decide otherwise for any reason, you are free to cancel at any time.
Life happens and family/friends/responsibilities come first. Occasional absences or tardiness are to be expected from time to time...but please respect the Group's time and keep these instances occasional, rare, or non-existent.
Likewise, if a Weekly Game needs to be skipped for one week for the entire group, that's not an issue. If you don't play, you don't pay. Your Group can skip up to two consecutive weeks once within a rolling six month period without any Players losing their space as one of the DM's eight players. If Sessions are cancelled more frequently than this, Your Personal DM will starve to death...and that sort of thing is most certainly frowned upon here.
We don't collect payment prior to our arrival at your location on your scheduled game night. If we don't show up, we don't get paid. Your Personal DM will arrive up to one hour before the scheduled time to get everything set up and collect everyone's payment.
The "meter" doesn't start until your scheduled time so there's no cost for the time Your Personal DM spends setting up your game on your table, collecting payments, and addressing any pre-game questions your Group might present.
In the event that your Session ends early, Your Personal DM will prorate your costs in 15 minute-intervals ($6.25 per 15 minutes). This adjustment will be applied as a credit towards your next weekly session.
In the event that your session runs longer than the number of hours you booked, Your Personal DM will prorate your added costs in 15 minute-intervals ($6.25 per 15 minutes) and collect payments for the additional sum after the session's conclusion.
Maintaining the same day/time schedule each week is highly recommended to make the session convenient for all players.
However, if you do need to change things up for one given week, we can accommodate that, so long as that session is LATER in the day or week than the normally-scheduled time. Moving the game to an earlier day/time could cut into the amount of prep time Your Personal DM has to create an excellent session for you, so we do our best to avoid that except in truly extraordinary circumstances.
Scheduling a different day/time each week is strongly discouraged because most players don't have the flexibility to consistently attend games that are sporatically scheduled.
No, unfortunately, at this time, we cannot. However, please do be sure to use the Contact Us form below to tell us about where you are and how many players you have in your group. In the future, we hope to expand our Service Area by hiring additional Personal DMs to get Fantasy Escapes Weekly games going on more tables, so we'll reach back out to you when we can locally serve you!
